The Green Audit for Adichunchanagiri University successfully established a comprehensive sustainability baseline across a 67-acre integrated university campus. The project enabled systematic assessment of energy, water, waste, built environment, health, and mobility systems, identifying both strengths and future opportunities.

Key achievements include:

• Nearly 50% green cover retention, supporting biodiversity and microclimate regulation

• 100% wastewater treatment and reuse through a 750 KLD STP for landscaping and flushing

• Functional rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge systems enhancing water security

• Campus-wide daylighting optimization, reducing dependence on artificial lighting

• Structured waste segregation, composting, and e-waste management practices

• Strong alignment with SDGs, IGBC principles, and NABCB/ISO standards

• Active integration of health, accessibility, and wellbeing infrastructure

The audit delivered an actionable sustainability roadmap, reinforcing long-term environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and institutional accountability.
